I’m listening to my BEST show to date, my interview with Rachel Lloyd of GEMS. Not only was the content of the show beautiful and the information on point but the format that I chose to use for the show worked. I’m like the rapper that rides around listening to his/her own music, I listen to my own shows for a few reasons. Mainly because they are good (yeah I said it) but also to hear where I can improve and gain inspiration for future shows. I also listened to my poem "The Way We Were" the other day and found myself feeling very impressed with the work I had created. Once again it gave me inspiration for the next piece and showed me what I had to work on for it as well. I’m also in the process of working on a new photography site. I spent hours looking through photographs to find the best to add to my portfolio. With so many photos scattered around it was getting hard to find those special standouts but when I found them I have to say I was once again impressed! I don’t claim to be the best photographer, hell I don’t even call myself a photographer but I can take a damn good picture and am getting better and looking forward to improving my skills behind the camera, my podcast and poetry this year.
So if you are an artist, revisit your work, no matter how old it is and get inspired by yourself!
